PAUL MAYO

Paul is former front man for Basildon based synth band, Electro Kill Machine and now current lead singer/songwriter for the universal New Wave band AustenEx. He is also a successful solo recording artist.
As lead singer of Electro Kill Machine, Paul supported 80's legends Nik Kershaw, Alexander O'Neil, Heaven 17 and Blancmange, to name but a few. With AustenEx, Paul has signed to Pink Dolphin Records, worked with acclaimed film director Gerard Lough and received positive reviews from industry professionals such as Vince Clarke (Depeche Mode, Erasure).
As a solo artist, Paul has provided music for TV commercials, Films, Educational training programmes and charity albums benefitting orphanages in Africa.
Going back to his earlier years, Paul started out as a session vocalist at the Shire Studios in Essex, before moving into the front. He successfully signed contracts with Geoff Morrow's Red Records, and was in a 15 piece vocal harmony group that included Gemma Merna from C4's Hollyoaks. Geoff Morrow wrote songs for the Carpenters, Elvis Presley and many, many more.
From there, Paul was managed by Elliot Davis (Writer and director of Loserville), before impressing the producers and judging panel on BBC's Fame Academy, achieving the status of reserve housemate.

Paul continued performing and Free-styling with a group of U.S. House DJ's and was a familiar face around the North and South of England. He was instrumental in setting up a House night in Austria, that continued to run for many years.
Writing was always at the heart of Paul's endeavours, which brings us back full circle again. Anything that he writes is always quality assured by his professional friends and given honest critique...if it works for them, he knows it must be OK.

Paul has publishing deals with Leopard Music Publishing on several tracks and is looking to get his music further afield in 2019.
